Nice, was that with the Z06?

Thinking of you, post up some more info on that GTO. It goes well with the topic at hand.

so I'm looking into the same crap that I was back in 2008 LOL...except for now I have a 11.4:1 stock bottom LS2. I know the FI group has learned a lot in the last 7 years....

what it boils down to...
I'm willing to run e85
I run a carburetor, so my intake temps will be lower than EFI just by nature carbureted fuel delivery
I want to push it as as hard as the bottom end will take. willing to spray it too.

am I better off keeping my 61cc Trick Flow 225 heads that put me at 11.4:1 comp, or should I swap to some stock 317 castings which would put me at 10.1:1 compression, but flow nowhere near as good. I'm sure the answer hasn't changed over the years, but I'm finding it hard to pull my trickflows and yella terras to sell for ~2000 just to turn around and spend nearly 2000 on a set of nice 317 heads.

BASICALLY THE HIGHER STATIC cr TIGHTENS YOUR TUNING WINDOW. YES, IT WILL MAKE MORE POWER AND YES IT WILL BE MORE RESPONSIVE BUT YOULL HAVE TO BE ON TOP OF THE TUNE. BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID, 11.4 CR WITH E85 ISNT REALLY THAT AGGRESSIVE.

OOPS. CAPSLOCK IS ON

I think it would be a awesome setup.. More power out of boost then when the boost kicks in the fun really starts. When Richard (atomic) had the blower on top of his 408 in the big truck it would roll even out of boost and it was only on like 6-7lbs I think.

will the tuning window really be that tight on e85 if it's not aggressive with e85 at 11.4 comp? seems to be contradictory. I have a truck that hooks now, so I want all I can get down low. my decent 60' is a 1.46 on drag radials, but with oversized 6k converter. I want to run low 1.3 on drag radials.

Do it and see what happens!

I ran 1.3x all day in a fullsize on a 275 radial with a tighter than stock converter, surely you can make that little guy get off the line with some boost

because 1) they have no experience and 2) it takes a massive fuel system 3) **** poor gas mileage 4) some places don't have e85
