Default Pittsburgh gear/truetrac installation

Who do you guys have your gears installed by?

I have all the parts (4.10s, truetrac, install kit & diff fluid).... #1 Cochran told me almost $400 which i wouldnt take it to a stealership anyways but should I expect to pay this everywhere, seems a little steep?

a 4wd shop will typically charge 100-150 labor, so yes 400 is steep.

thats what I was thinking... I figured i could live with spending $200~ but I really dont wanna spend anymore than that. They said there labor rate is $80/hour which i thought was really steep as well... thats 5 hours, should it take that long?

I got my 4:10's installed by the Pyle Bros in Baytown TX, but that won't help you much. I think I payed $700 for everything.

$200.00 should do it Beast. I would not pay much more. I had a local shop that specializes in drivelines and I did not pay more than $200.00 labor.

I would avoid a dealership unless you know the person that is doing the install. You want to make sure the Tech knows his ****. Take my word for it. I learned the hard way. I paid alot and got a **** job and alot of headaches in return. I learned a tough lesson the first time a had my Posi unit and gears installed.
