Default GT2-3 on N/A 5.3

First time to go to a dyno and it was alot of fun. Final numbers ended up being 301/280 on a mustang dyno with ambient around 80 degrees. Did a total of 3 runs. The first one we tried in 3rd but it was taking too long (20+ seconds) and I was getting some timing retard, so we cut it short. After taking out 2 degrees and pulling in second we had two good runs. I did one with my cutout closed, and one with it open just for fun.

Cutout Closed:
298 hp, 279 tq

Cutout Open:
301 hp, 280 tq

Hardly a huge difference but I was curious anyway.

Mods include S&B intake, lingenfelter GT2-3 cam (206/220 .571/.578 118.5), LS6 springs, comp hi-tech rods, ls1 fans, pacesetter longtubes, 3" pipe from headers to a 3.5" flowmaster collector, magnaflow 3" high-flow cats, 3.5" dmh cutout, magnaflow 13740, and 3" tailpipe as well as mucho tuning by myself with hptuners.

The guy complimented me on my tune and was quite suprised I put down 301 with such a smooth torque curve :aniteef:

Besides the obvious reason for going, I wanted to see how well calibrated my plx wideband is, and for the most part it is pretty good. Except near the end where it starts to fall off after 5100, I was still reading 12.7 and the afm1000 hooked up to the dyno was reading around 12.1. At least it reads lean instead of rich.

Nice power on the MD. That's an easy 330rwhp on a Dynojet.

It was going very rich (12.1) towards the end. I could probably squeeze some more out after I adjust for that to around 12.6.

My plx was still reading 12.7 in those areas, hence the error.

No, afraid not. Before it was just a stock lm7 5.3 with headers/exhaust and intake.

Yeah, I'm curious what you actually gained at the tire on the NA 5.3. Nice #s though

Ive heard stock 5.3s put down roughly 250ish... but yea, I am kinda curious too. I couldnt justify going to a dyno completely stock though, haha
