Couple dyno questions
#1
What gear should a dyno run be done in? I see 3rd gear alot but im afraid I'll be going about 150 on the top of 3rd with 35's and 3.42's lol. How does it affect it if run in 2nd gear? Also, should the converter be locked or unlocked? what will the differences be?

Locking the converter will give you higher numbers. Aluminum Drive shafts will come apart at like 130 mph wouldn't recommend doing it. A member on here was recording his dyno runs when his driveshaft gave way. Wasn't pretty and it took out most of his truck in one swoop. Do 2nd gear pulls.

I made a run in second and one in third, Heres the results(this is my old truck):2nd gear-284.5hp/285.25tq, third gear-267.37hp/292.1tq. That was on a dynojet. Seems like the tq will register higher in third and hp lower. Third gear gives you that 1:1 ratio to your rear axle if im not mistaken. I was doing like 145mph, crazy looking when the stock 265/70/17 tires bulge out
