Question Will tuning hurt the trans??

I had the wait4me tune installed a while back and have just recently lost the trans. (2nd gear went and 4th was burnt) I bought the truck used and it had just got a new GM Certi trans installed at 64,000 I changed the fluid and filter at 75,000 and now at 101,000 the trans goes. In normal mode I had 40% TM removed and Tow\Haul has 60%. Only mod is a drop in filter ant the PCM so im defently not making enough power to hurt it IMO. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated as im looking at having it reflashed to run my ls1 fans I need to install and for 285s im about to purchase. Shift points for tow\haul are 5800 are there any recomendations that I change?

Truck is a 99 GMC 5.3 EXSB Z71

lower your shift points and line pressures closer to specs in your tune esp. for towing.

Corvette servo or Superior Super Servo kit... easy mod that helps!

With my wait4me tune, I told him to take off 70% of TM, however when Wheatley looked at my PCM, he said I had no TM at all, it had all been taken off! I had burned up some clutches in my tranny too with a wait4me tune, but only had CAI and muffler on the truck. Go with a Wheatley or Nelson tune; definitely worth the money.

I do not trust wait4me tunes after my experiences.

I told him to take off 25% and my current tuner looked at it and said he removed it all!

Dont trust him after that....
