Spike runs its first 8 had several issues but will only be getting faster this was the first time out in a very long time and truck was put together hours befor the event.... The truck lost power throughout the run and it was sputtering all the way. The reason was that we ran the 16v battery but it was not holding the charge long enough so it would drop to 9 or 8 quick. We will run the alternator next week and hope to get her 100%. Mark and candido put alot of work to get it back together to make a pass at the shootout. It really was'nt our day. We had the hood fly off, the shocks were bottoming out in front and the rear needed some adjustment too, then the battery issue. We were lucky to have run at least the 8.9.

Yeah that truck moved out! I was also surprized to see it only had the vic intake with a plate I was expecting a crazy direct port system or something.

Nice! I'm obviously new to these motors but i've never heard one sound like that, not a bad thing. What gives?
