i did not however i can confirm that the 06 motor i have does indeed have different rods that appear to be beefier in every way. im not very happy with this current motor, it has pretty high miles and was a rusty mess, it has more blow by then the last and as u can see in the video smokes some, it also uses a little oil. i only payed 425 for a complete long block so i cant complain and there was no other 06 style for near that cheap around me. ill run it and see how long it last any way. it won two events for me over the weekend as well. one on friday and one on sunday. i already have around 20-30 hard passes on this motor and a bunch of street beating.

What snail you running and boost pressure? My little 76/67 turbo seems to hit a wall at 19. I been as high as 22-23 but just seems to make heat up there and no pick up much if any MPH.

precision 74mm with a 90 something ex ar and a s trim ex wheel. i ran it at 19 psi all weekend it fluctuated from a worse of a 9.3 to a best of 9.14 at the same psi mph was between 147 and 149 all weekend. in that one pic u see my mph is down its cause its bracket racing and i lifted when i passed him so i wouldnt run under my dial.

I think GM is proving (especially with the new COPO 5.3 engines), that a large bore, short stroke engine can handle A LOT of abuse!

Nice runs btw! whats the race weight of your car?
