First time ever to the track
#21
I always run my Hoosiers at 16 cold for the first run, then adjust to 16 hot and work down from there by 1/2 lb till she bites all thru 1st gear.
When the traction is questionable or I get out of the grove, my truck pulls left and gets scary if it breaks loose again (usually about 1,000 feet out)

Well, I didn't improve much. I dont feel like I'm going to go any faster without some changes. Truck will pretty much mph between 88-90 every pass. Haven't messed with the AFR or timing yet. Its fat, low timing, and heatsoaked on most passes.
What I am concerned with is my 60'. A 1.97 is the best I can pull off. Most passes are 2.0s. It pushes through the brakes with the 2 step anything higher then 2500. Only builds 4 or 5 lbs. This is also with the syty shuffle. Which makes for an aggrivating procedure to stage. I have to stage both beams, hit neutral, rev, back to drive, brake boost, 2 step, then launch. Hence that great r/t
I guess brakes are in order before I'm going to go much faster. On a positive note. The truck with appropriate air pressure (15lbs) goes very straight down the track.
