I was on 275/55/17 M&H street drag radials. I never got a dead hook off the line but i was close. It wouldn't spin right off the line but like 2 feet out as if spring wrap was causing it and then it would only spin like 2 or 3 feet. Anyway it has a real bad dead spot right after all this happened till i hit like 3800 rpm. I have the 00 model lq4 with the iron heads, 9.0 compression, stock exh manifolds and the tall gears. Im gunna get some 243's some 4.10's and some long tubes. That ought to wake my torque up! O and i ran the whole quarter never shifting into 3rd! I really need the gears!

well i am not a fan of a cam to have the same lift and dur.
so what i would do is change the cam, gears, under drive pulley.

what kind of timing r you running the others are right ur 60' should be better.
