Default First run down the track since 6.0 swap.

Well we went to Amarillo Dragway last saturday night. The da sucks out there, 3800 ft. We had some fun anyway! I was able to pull a 14.19@97.4. Crappy 60ft though, i think it should be better. My best was a 2.13. Every mod i have is in my sig. What do you guys think? Oh and my da corrected time was 13.5@102

Should be able to get a better 60 ft for sure. In my 2500 hd with 238,000 miles that weighs 4560 I normaly cut 2.0-2.1 60 ft lights. This is with a 2800 stall. So it should have some left in it for sure.

Why would you swap a motor in with 178,000 miles? Why not rebuild it wile it is out?

Two reasons, im doing a budget build, i bought it for 600 dollars shipped to my door. And i'm one of those guys that likes to prove i can do alot with little. I think my cam is the reason for the crappy 60 fts cuz my brother had it in his 5.3 rcsb with all the bolt ons 3k stall 4.11 gears and a dyno tune and was only cuttin 2.3-2.4 60fts.

I can respect that and labor to install the motor and pull it out when it blows isn't to bad. I don't see why your cam would your 60 ft.? It doesn't make power till 3700 rpm? With a 3000 stall you should hit the power off the line.

he was runnin on street tires. put some dr's or slicks on it and he would prolly pull a 1.9x 60'. to me the 60' ain't bad, the mph looks good but the ET seems a little off...prolly just needs a few tweaks here and there...it was his first time out with it
