Went to Gainesville last night to work on the tranny. It only took 2 runs to get it close...shifting real good at 6000+. The fricken place was a Mad-house of broken down pieces of crap. I put it on the trailer after 2 runs in three and a half hours. The DA was around 1100, really still hot till about 9:30 or so.

First run was just a spin of the tires to clean them off, as I had reflashed the tune and didn't know what to expect. Came out on a roll and cut a 1.66 sixty foot, hit the limiter on 1-2 shift, let it shift into 3rd and let off. It ran a 7.4 eighth, and a 12.09 @ 90 mph. I logged the run and adjusted the tranny again, reflashed and an hour + later I finally got to the water box and another car broke down. I sat there again for a few minutes. Reset the computer and started logging. Something happend and the afr quit reading.

Second run, got a good burnout....hammered it too hard off the line and spun a 1.70 sixty to run a 7.50 eighth and an 11.83 @ 114 mph. The tranny was shifting pretty good. Looking at the log this morning, my 1-2 shift is still 350rpm too high and my 2-3 shift is 200rpm high. I'm not happy about that 114 mph, but I looked at some old slips and that is typical for hot air for me.

Now to defend my 11.8 run

1) 50+ lb street tires were left on instead of skinnies
2) headlight was not removed for air (always worth a tenth)
3) sixty foot was a 1.7 instead of my usual 1.54-1.56
4) no weight reduction, full street trim except slicks (120lbs+)
5) temp was 70+ instead of 40 degrees when I ran a couple 11.1 et's
6) I had over a half tank of gas (I did mix 5gal of 110 race gas to eliminate any chance of knock)
7) Shifts were extended, losing time

Truth be told, I would be happy to see an 11.1 again, heck with a ten
