Well, I loved my STS turbo ( past tense ). Due to my boost craze and poor tuning choices the link shows what the consequenses can be: http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines....465-album-8012
The forged piston motor should stand up to better abuse but for the time being I am staying N/A. A good software tuning program and looser purse strings will get me back someday....

I was at or near 8psi when the major damage occured, although I think the initial piston chunking happened at 6psi. ANY ammount of detonation will damage the pistons. The N2O guys have the advantage of cooler intake charges, one reason I think they are not experiencing piston issues so far on bigger shots.
You can't imagine the difference 2psi makes! It's like a 50 shot of N2O, all at the turn of a regulator or moving the wastegate pressure line around. On reason boost is so addicting, a little goes a long way.
