Default Thinking of fats and skinnies and need help with rear tire size..

I ordered a set 15x8 with a 5.5 back spacing and i`m thinking of running a drag radail or e.t. street.......i`m thinking a 28 or 29 tall but not sure on how wide ????........the truck has the flip kit on the rear so its lowered 6 inches and the front is lowered 3 inhes.......Has anyone put fat tires on the back ??? If so what size do ya think will work with my rims ???

I don't know about your body style but I ran 15x8s on my 72 and went with a 275/60r15. They are 28 inches tall and about 9.5-10 inches wide. Nice size tire for the truck. Your truck looks good. Hope this helps some.

He is correct, the 275/60R15 is the right tore size for a radial and will look good on there.

Default yep

I ran a 28x10.5 et street and a 325/50 m/t radial on a 15x9 centerline when i still had springs and it was perfect, so 28x10.5 or a 275/60r15 or the 325/50 would be fine

I ran a 325/50-15 on a 15x10" rim with 4.5" BS, but the tires were way out of the wells. A 5.5-6" BS would be better.

You can run a 17x11" rim with a 6 3/4" BS with 315/35-17's and they will tuck.

peace
