Looking for a good place to take my truck to get the trans rebuilt and built up a bit for the new mods. The truck has over 150k so before I add the cam and get tuned, I better rebuild the trans before it goes.

 

Do u need an installer too? How much are u thinkin it'll cost? ET Goals & mods?

 

I just plan on taking the truck in and leaving it to be worked on. So yes to an installer. Dont have a price in mind cause I dont know what to expect. I also have a higher stall converter that I will want put in while they have the trans out. Only mods other than the 2600 stall will be: GMPP CAI, long tube headers with Y pipe, 3" from the y pipe into a flowmaster 40, bigger cam (undecided), and then a 91oct dyno tune.

 

Call B.E.I. in Nunica , MI and ask who they reccomend in your area.

 

Since they do motor work, would they do a cam install for me?

Thanks a lot that will save me from having to drive over 200 miles to the east side of the state to get the work done. Nunica is only 30 miles so that's a lot better.

 

No Prob! I bought my cam install parts from them, Great place and they are very knowlegable, like i said talk to TJ !!

 

Talked with TJ and he got me set on the cam, rods, springs, and dyno tune. Also put me in touch with Dr Evil Transmission for my rebuild.

What cam did you get? and where / who is DR evil? And location, im looking for a good trans guy in ohio/ mich. area.
