I may invest more into this 8.1 than i thought. you had a cam right? Any head work, what # injectors, custom intake, what size turbo, yadda yadda.

I was thinking i was gonna weld my own exhaust but figured while there why not turn the stock manis forward and add a turbo(or use shorties). Other thought was to use long tubes run it down dual into a remote mount then dual out again after turbo, only issue is lag but would give the charge air plenty of time(due to length of travel) to cool off without an intercooler. Plan was to hot coat all hot side and add heat wrap and a blanket on hot side of snail then use exhaust pipe with cooling fins(heat sinks) welded the full length for cold side. Only issue i hadf with that was filter locationfor turbo inlet.

Had roller rockers, 60# injectors, and twin wolbro 255 fuel pumps. I ran a 76mm and 88mm turbos. 76 spooled fast and was great for towing. Didn't feel like it gained anything with the 88. Little slow to spool and had to drop to drive to see boost when towing. I'm sure a front mount the 88 would worked better.
The converter I was running stock converter. Reworked with billet lockup cover buy M&M converter in Jeff City, MO. It was set up to stall at 2800 n/a. With the turbo, it stalled 3800!

Kerr, I think you killed it!

Ya'll need to stop talkin about Texas. You'r make me jealous. I threaten to move down there all the time.

Cam, stiff springs, and boost had everything to do with it.
That awners the question, will stock pushrods work.
