My trucks are all 6 liters but I have e fans on all of them. I also have the oem GM harness on all 3. One I bought new and the other 2 stripped out of 2 wrecks in the junkyard for $50 a piece. The factory harness is cleaner than any of the aftermarket ones and it never has any issues.

I see the difference now all yall are from up north it never gets hot there like it does here so I guess they would work in your application just fine. Forgot about the location factor. It's 105-112 here routinely during summer so it may work great for you.

Middle of august with a 30 foot loaded flat bed and stop and go not so much for me.

Thats my biggest fear. Towing heavy in the heat, I just dont think E-Fans can keep up.

They can't at least in the heat we have and with added heat from ac condenser, engine oil, power steering, and trans coolers as well. Mine was ok from about 85 degrees and down any hotter and it was game over. Especially once into traffic and or ac on in town on the highway it did ok but even with the fan clutch it will cycle in and out loaded at 70-75 mph in july august and sept but our average for those months is 95-105+ at least in south texas where I'm at and the E fans just didn't do it for me. Not just on one truck but on 2 different ones.
