Default 2500HD Suspension Setups?

I've got a lot of my 02' 2500HD finally figured out and ready to rock. It was used daily for more than a year for work and DDing with me.

But now I want to work on the suspension. I was contemplating lowering it, using cut-out flares and running 255/85/16's. This would give me tall tires, optimal ground clearance without pushing the CoG too high.

I'm now looking into a set of Frederico sway bars and keeping it stock height. But wanted to see what others are doing and what works for these heavy, tall beasts

That would definitely be on my list too, if it weren't for living in the arctic. I need 4WD because I've seen how useless this CCSB is when it's just running 2WD.

Take a look at this Fabtech kit. If you could figure out who made the front shocks for them, I'd bet that same company could build a shorter assembly. Of course you'll have to fab the rest of the system....

That kit has been discontinued. They no longer make it. And it was EXPENSIVE. Like $9,000+ just for parts.

Nice!

Is it from a kit or put together like the QA1 coilover from the earlier link?

I think I've seen a kit on one of the diesel forums that an offroad company makes. But it's a long travel kit and costs more than $4000 IIRC. Sounded like an awesome kit though.

Right now, the truck can't cost me that much money, but goddamn if I could afford it

Anyone running drop spindles?

I've been looking into those, so I can keep as much adjustment as I can out of the factory torsion keys. Looking for a 2/3 drop at the most. I still live in a rugged place that needs some height/ground clearance...which is why I was thinking of running bushwacker cutout flares and tall/thin tires for max. ground clearance at given height.
