Well, the block is made out of aluminum......
According to GM Powertrain, the only difference is the block material. In 2010 all the engines got VVT. 9.9:1 compression ratio, same as iron.
315hp/335ft-lbs on gasoline.

Well dude I have been looking at that similar swap and if it has the DOD it will have the 58x reluctor ring not the 24x you have, it will have the cam sensor in the front of the engine, will need wirring exstensions for that and for the knock sensors they are located on the side of the block not in the ey cover, oh and you would have to retap the block for you knock sensors, you would have to change the reluctor ring to the 24x on the crank, you would have to do away with the DOD that sits under the intake manifold (very noticeable) the variable timing would have to be romoved if it has it, it would just be alot of work if you are using your PCM, which I would, just get a 6.0 and call it a day!
