After you use a pry bar and pry the block off the trans. Mine was easy because if you read I just got the transmission redone. You can lift the block out. My truck has a 4/6" drop and I didn't have to take off the front end and used a harbor freight 1 ton shop crane.

After you remove the 6 15mm bolts the flexplate needs to be pry'd off. I'm keeping my flexplate because it is brand new pretty much. Im not going to admit how long it took me to figure out it just pops off with some force.

On my spare block I showed how my top bellhousing bolts were connected to my block. Note some bolts have a 13mm infront of the 15mm bolts. Also note a regular length deep socket won't fit you'll need a deeper than "normal" length socket on some of the 15mm.
