Never Write Entire unless you have a patch to install or a Custom OS.
If you change the speedo segment you will not need to rewrite the other 7 segments of the file. If you have an issue when writing the speedo segment then the OS will be intact and you will be able to reprogram just that segment.
If you have an issue in the write process and you had choses the Write Entire then it is possible that your PCM will be bricked and you will need a replacement.

If you have made adjustments in 7 segments then by not selecting the Write entire you will just update the segments that have changed

Right, but I have had several people tell me that they had trouble with a transmission segment swap when they did a write calibration only. A write entire fixed it.

Who would have thought the transmission harness plug fits upside down. Fixed
