Default wierd starter problem.. i think

Here's what I got.. When the truck is cold been I turn the key it spins over like normal prolly 2 times then quits on its own then starts slowly turning over till it cranks.. It only does it when its cold.. Once you crank it once it starts just fine everytime. I thought it might be a ground issue but I checked them and they are good. Its just got me puzzled cuz it does it when cold and it doesn't have a problem when warm. Think the starter might be goin bad?

Thanx,
Garrett

mine would so something similar to that when it was going out..one day it would act like the battery was dead, threw jumper cables on and it fired right up..next day it went and would just click once when i turned the key...

might as well replace it before you get stuck somewhere...since you already check the wires, there isnt really anything else it could be

Might be the battery too. Go to a local auto parts store, and see if they can do a load test on the battery for you.

you did just swap motors a few months back right? I mean it could be a bad connection somewhere, but its basically a straight shot from the starter to the battery...
