Default Wideband O2

I am trying to find some wideband O2 sensors that will fit my 01 1500 5.3L. I am trying not to have to rewire anything if possible.

Look here

If you dont want a display, just the control module will work for ya.. Then just wire in the narrowband wire into your OEM, O2 wires.

There is another brand out there, that controls two wideband sensors with 2 narrow band outputs, but I have forgot who makes it.

I have HP tuner for my truck so I was just looking for the sensors. That plx system looks really good, thanks.

Unless I am mistaken, You will still need a control module and wire it up.
The OEM ECU cant handle the voltage required to operate that wideband sensor properly.
That said, you have 2 sensors, thats why I mentioned the control module that handles 2 sensors and 2 Narrow band output wires independently of each other, but in one box.

Found them

Fast duel Wideband controller with sensors

Acell duel wideband controller with sensors

As you can see the prices vary wildly, There are more brands out there, just poped these two to show ya what I was talkin about.

Good luck..

Np, Good luck with your build. post up what you decide to go with.
I've been trying to talk myself into a wideband conversion on my DD for some time now. Simply for the better O2 signal to PCM.

I noticed that most of the kits come with only one sensor. Does this mean if I plug it in the right or left bank and optimize it, the narrowband sensor will be able to make the required adjustments?

FYI, I have used the plx system as my NB, the readings weren't quite right and made my truck run lean on the bank it was on. If you watch the switching between the stock sensor and the plx, there is a noticable difference. My truck was running around 17:1 in closed loop on that bank compared to 14.7 on the other. Best bet is to use your stock narrowbands as they were intended, and use your wideband separately for a gauge and/or data logging

Not a self tuner yet but fixn to take the plunge and order a hp pro. So with that said wouldn't using two allow for the banks to be balanced during the tune process. Will be asking more dumb questions in the near future.
