where is the fuel pump relay trigger wire?

cool, thanks for the info. I will probably just keep an extra relay in the glove box just in case, and will keep in mind to check the factory relay first if I ever have a problem.

hewy atomic, that a 12v consistant as long as the key is on? or all the time even with key off?

You don't need to carry an extra relay. If you ever suspect a bad fuel pump relay, just swap the a/c relay or horn relay into it's place. They are the same part, and in the same electrical center. Makes it really easy!

its on any time the fuel pump should have power...so for a few seconds with key in run with engine off and all the time with the engine on.

thanks, thought so just wasnt sure!


foot note: theres also a 15 amp fuse next to the fuel pump relay, if your pump all of a sudden quits working check that fuse first, i almost made the mistake of buying another fuel pump until a good friend told me about that fuse

which color wire is the signal/trigger wire on the pump connector itself? 04 silverado 1500

The power, ground, and fuel level sensor are in the pump harness. The signal wire goes from the PCM to the relay.
