Default PCM factory locked L8T. No tuning support. Ways around?

Hello all. My 2022 Chevy Express has a 6.6L L8T but the pcm is locked from the factory. HP Tuners can’t offer support, they only are able to with the new silverados. I would like to change my gearing and tune the truck along with some future performance mods, but am unable to because of wheel speed sensors and losing abs, cruise control, traction control and stabilitrak, and going into limp mode from what I’ve heard.

Is there a way around this, I don’t know anything about swapping pcm’s or standalone ecu’s. Any input would be immensely appreciated. Thanks

Swapping in a Silverado computer is out of the question.

You don't have any other options until HP Tuners starts offering support for that computer. And when that times comes it will be very spendy to do so.

It's expensive, but maybe worth a shot.

Good Luck. It took them awhile to unlock what Global B stuff they have been working on, And its pretty expensive to mess with.

It'll be another year or two I bet but they will eventually. Your best bet is to leave it alone till then the express vans have a lot of programming different from the trucks because they are an antique electrical architecture compare to to T1000 trucks. All the electronics in the express van outside of the motor and tranny believe it or not are GMT900 stuff being sold to this very day.

Yup, just wait a bit more. Our 2020 Express Van wasn't supported until recently when I checked. Back in 2021-2022 I had reached out to HP Tuners and they told me they were planning on expanding my mode in the future, not sure when they got to it. I was also looking at re-gearing down the road. Ours is 3.42. I think 3.73 would be a better option.
