weird pop coming out of exhaust

Default weird pop coming out of exhaust

i started up my truck yesterday and it was popping pretty bad dont know what it could be no light or anything only at an idle reving up is fine anybody got any ideas

i checked all the plugs fuel pressure everything checked out good so im to pull the covers to see if theres something broken if it is you think the valve could be messed up

not sure... anytime ive ever had a popping noise in the exhaust, one of the valves were stuck. Might not be valve damage, possibly just a valve spring and/or roller rocker.

How consistent is it? Can you even drive it?

yeah i have a wideband and it seems fine when i rev it up its only at an idle when its popping and yea i can drive it to just weird

Does it only pop on the decel after you rev it?

nope its only popping at an idle when its cold it really pops

Check your plug wires. Mine did this for about a month before I figured out that the rubber insulation on the outside of the plug wire was burnt, but nothing else was. I just happened to see it arching in the dark on night. It ran fine, but had a very random, and quiet backfire at idle.
