Default Weird issue

I sometimes second guess my WB. Driving around town at wot wb reads in mid 12 range which is fine. Everytime I go to the track and take off from a dry stop the wb reads 14.0 -14.1 AFR. Why is that?

I richened it from 11.0 to 10.8 and the actual on the wb went from 14.0 to 13.8. But when I put it back on the street with the PE that rich it will be a dog so I will have to lean it out again.

Most say it is the ve table, but no one else that I know of has or had this problem. Not many do ve tuning from what I hear.

No, it's your de-screened MAF sensor. Either swap that out to one with a screen or tune it. To tune it, you need to get your wideband hooked up to EFI Live like you've been attempting.

So I could just swap out with someone with a stock MAF and not change any tuning? What exactly would that do?

I would disable the Maf, AutoVE the VE table, re-enable the MAF and Auto tune it.

Assuming that you have the correct Injector Flow Rate defined, you would actually achieve close to your commanded AFR. Only tuning you'd need to do initially would be to make sure that your MAF calibration table is stock.

Having to command 10.8:1 to get 13.8:1 is nuts.

Have you ever posted your tune for people to look at 12sec.5.3? It might be helpful. Alot of mysteries go away when you post your tune IMO. Unless you are one of the guys who have setups they would like to hide, even then you'd have a tuner or are really good at it yourself. End the second guessing...post your tune.
