Made a round trip of 700 miles and filled up just 7/10ths of a mile from home, parked it for the night and the next morning tried to start it and it just cranks. I checked for DTC's and there are none. I checked for spark and I have it coming out of the coil very well. When I go to KOEO I can hear the fuel pump prime. So I can eliminate the ICM and coil (I actually bought a new ICM) Ouch! The plug wires, cap and rotor are all replaced by me including the coil (Accel). I bypassed the Accel Ignition box and eliminated that also. I don't think it's the PCM as that drives the ICM which turns on the coil which I have spark to and the PCM gets signals from the distributor so I think the ignition is OK.
Is there anyway to verify the fuel system since there is no schrader valve to attach to on this "96" K1500. Like I mentioned before I can hear the fuel pump prime.
Thanks in advance.

I changed it back in May so I was reluctant to do that, but...
As cheap as they are it really couldn't hurt. Plus I can see if gas is being pulled from the tank. I actually hope it's not the pump as I have 25 gallons of gas in the tank. I will try it and let you guy know if it works.

This happened to neighbor's 1997 Suburban. He called me over listened to it crank. Fuel pump sounded weak so tested pressure and found it low. I told him to get a fuel pump. He did and I put it in for him. That was it.

James,
Thanks for the info. Last night I pulled a plug and it was wet with gas, not fouled at all. I checked to see if the spark was getting to the plug by grounding to header and I have ample spark. I figure if I'm getting fuel and spark I should be able to start. I just checked the PCM by using my JET Tuner software to read my PCM, so I think I've eliminated that. I do have a new fuel pump for it that I had bought and I guess this is a good time to install it. But I still have a feeling something else is going on.
Qustion:
If I have a oil pressure sensor failure would this cause a no start situation?
I'm betting this would set a DTC.
Also, I noticed my milage on the return trip was less.

Ok. I got a fuel pressure tester and tested the pressure in the KOEO position at the schrader valve and had 62 psi initially and then dropped to 57 psi and stayed there.
