Default Vitesse Motorsports throttle enhancer

Since I purchased my 6.2 2015 I have HATED the throttle lag. It is dangerous when you go to change lanes. Pull across traffic push the gas and NOTHING happens. They have made a throttle enhancer for the 6.2 Vettes and Camaros and have gotten good reviews. They just came out with a truck one I just got. I'll give some feedback once it is in. Figured I'd take it in for warranty driveability and see if they help anything first with a new tune. Then add this and a real tune.

Tried it over the weekend(before the monsoons here in Houston). did as advertised but it did drop my mph by 1.5-2 mpg even on the lowest level. Made it feel like it had a normal throttle connected to the motor! Not sure if it just changes the slope for the drive by wire pedal or what, and why it woudl change highway cruising mpg.

Interesting. In the past this has been a big no no as it could brick your PCM.

I've see many folks on the Camaro and Vette boards have used them and liked the results. What did it do to the PCM?

It did initially have a check engine light but to went off after a day. Took it off to double check factory gas mileage and a BIG difference going back.

The throttle lag is the biggest thing I hate on the new truck-along with a few things like the front passenger foot well barely big enough for ONE sack of groceries definitely not my dog! The windshield/dash/mirror pillar is so huge it makes a big blind spot none of my trucks have. I think the lag is actually dangerous go to pull out in front of someone or change lanes and push down and nothing happens for 2 seconds! Head rest to big shoves my chin to my chest-well not that bad but you get the idea.

Best brakes- feel and stopping- of ANY vehicle I own or have owned!

I notice the lack of response on mine but you just have to be more aggressive with the throttle once you are used to it, it really isn't a big deal. Once the warranty is up Ill clean all that up with a tune. I have both extremes, my 14 is not very sensitive and my 04 is really touchy.

Having driven carbs on cars/trucks and then my 97 truck/02 Avalanche and 04 GTO with cable TB this feels scary, but as you said stomp it and it goes most of the time. One time in a parking lot to get out of the way moderately stomped it., nothing happened then it took off screaming!

One of my electronically oriented mechanic buddies says the drive by wire accelerator does not even have a linear response to 25% input might not open throttle a full 25%.

It's not linear, I've looked at the TB slope in the tune. I e never seen a linear electric TB table.

But mechanical linkages often are.

But could you make the table linear just like a cable throttle?
