I'd start from the beginning.
When you installed this engine, was this engine bone stock at the time ?
Did you install the cam before of after it was in the truck?same goes for the headers and other mods?
Check the simple stuff first, connections, spark plugs, compression, fuel pressure.
Should clean the Maf,could be just dirty.
Might have a vacuum leak, intake gasket bad.
Could be an issue with the cam timing.

From what you have listed on your mod,you do not have a full blown racing engine.Even with a stock tune,it should run decent, maybe except for the idle.

What injectors that you have ? some early model truck had even smaller injectors than they came at the factory.

Even if theirs no codes, sensors may be bad,and are not giving the right data to the ECM.

Just trying to give you some ideas.....

thank you motion427, the 6.0,cam, piston, injectors , and stall were all installed at the same time. the injectors are the 42# 8.1 marine injectors. im about to just start replacing one sensor at a time if that dose not fix it then ill check the cam.

Checking the cam is not that hard to do. I would do it.

It would be an afternoon job for a newbie, but yes, maybe that cam would need to be check.Just to make sure.
Because with that converter,it should blow those tires off pretty easy.
I have a stock converter and 3.73's in a Avalanche.I have no problems spinning the
20" rims & 33"tires.The blower does help a lot though.....

Ok, I am having similar issues with a 4.8 truck that I recently purchased. I'm leaning towards the cam being installed incorrectly. How do you check without pulling the cam?

The easy way is to pull the front timing cover and make sure the crank dot lines up with the cam dot.

put a degree wheel on the crank, pull a head and use a dial indicator on the piston to check where TDC is and then use another dial indicator on the valve to see where the intake valve opens and compare that to the intake center line.
