I would spend the money on HP tuners you'll learn alot and I would expect the tune to be better, not because synergy doesnt know what they are doing
but, because you can spend everyday making it perfect

I agree 100%. Gomer is doing my tuning but he doesn't have enough time in the day to devote to my truck to get it tuned to my expectations, which is perfect. That is why i'm biting the bullet and buying HPT with inhanced interface and 2 bar map tuning.

Do you drive wot everywhere?
They do if it is a loaded dyno, or 1 that has either water brakes or Eddy Current absorbers. Simple Dynojet dynos acnt but Mustangs can. Mustangs can give a full road simulation.

If done PROPERLY on a load bearing dyno, they will give you the best part throttle tune you can get. No other way to nail down the timing that gives you best power than on a load bearing dyno that will show you just what you are making at specific timing values. Road tuning will only show you how much timing you can add before knock starts in, not what the best advance is for the given conditions.

The majority of shops out there only tune for wot and what happens if you add more mods and need more dyno time, you pay more money nothing wrong with that though. Ive got nothing against all the thousands of dyno tuner shops out there. To me its just a no brainer to buy HP tuners for the same price that you will pay for a dyno tune, you will always have it and can customize your tune to your liking.

Also most engines run richer on a dyno than they do in real world conditions, so there is no way to accurately tune a complete VE table unless you can drive around and do it.

There is no substitute for the real thing, this is why guys that have heavily modified engines dont rely on dyno tunes alone
