Default tuning Advice

Helping a buddy tune an 05. Need advice on how much torque management to remove.

Truck is 05 EC Z-71 with 5.3l. Factory electric fans. Truck runs strong, until torque management kicks in.

How much can I remove and not damage the trans. ANy other tuning advice for the o5?

Thanks,

Brian

Its up to him how much he wants removed, most mail order tuners remove about 80%. But try 60% then 80% and 100% and see what he likes best and feel the most comfortable with.

Melissa,

I called you guys today. Evidently you cannot send me a tuned E38 ECM and/or TCM for my NBS GMC Sierra 6.0 Vmax yet? Any idea when you will be able to get these? I am interested in getting a Nelson tune, but I want to keep my stock modules.

Please PM me with any info you may have and please include pricing and let me know what you need to know from me about my truck and my wants.

Thanks!
Jeff

Using HPTUNERS. This is not my vehicle, but it does not have a shift kit.
It is basically a stock truck with exception of dual exhaust.

Looking to see how much torque management could be removed without grenading the trans. From what I have read , 80 % seems to be the max without a corvette servo or shift kit.

thanks for the responses.
