Looking to see how much torque management could be removed without grenading the trans. From what I have read , 80 % seems to be the max without a corvette servo or shift kit.

thanks for the responses.
Doesn't matter, you can kill a trans in stock form with all TM still there.

I ran my 03' with Zero TM for probably 10K+ miles behind the 5.3, 5.7, & 6.0 with only a servo and added line pressure via HPT.
Never had any problems but there have been others that have wiped their trans out with much less.

Transmissions are unpredictable creatures, you never know how much one can take until it's too late.

IMO if your trans is bone stock then take out 60% or so. Tell your buddy to get a decent tranny cooler his transmission will thank him in the long run.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Truck has factory tranny cooler, runs strong other that torque management kicking in on 1-2 shift.

Thanks for the info and responses.

I feel it TOTALY has to do with the way you drive the truck. 1FUNZ71 has had 100% tm removed for over a year in his v-max with no problems, but he drives like a girl. If you beat on the truck daily don't take much out, drive like a grandma, except every once in a while, take 80% to 100% out....

I had all of the tm taken out of our 06 pickup. Should I be ok with that?

Wife usually drives it during the week and I drive it during the weekend

I had 80% TM removed in my truck (in my sig), and burned something up in the tranny after about a year. But luckily I had a powertrain warranty. Now I have 40% removed and it feels fine... not great, but fine.
