Default tune question?

thinking about getting a mail order tune from nelson perfomance soon and got a few questions about the form.

the form ask what cam i have, if its stock do i just leave it blank? what about what stage heads ? leave it blank or just say stock? stall?? just write stock?

what octane should I go with, higher obvisouly being better but how much of a difference will it make?

Do i need to do a recrank at the dealer?

The relearn will depend.. I would let them know what is stock. As far as octane goes, that depends on your wallet...

Make sure elevation and colder climate won't be an issue. What octanes do they offer in your neck of the woods?

they offer up to 91 or 93 octane if remember correctly, colder climate is not an issue as it wont be winter driven anymore. So basically my truck is stock so just put stock in all the blanks that are engine related?

With my Wheatley he sent instruction on how to do a Security relearn without taking it to the dealer. It's easy but time consuming, takes about a hour.

Go Wheatley and do not look back, trust me on this. And do a 93 tune, it's like $5 more a fill up aka nothing.

The only time I ever had to do the pcm relearn was the very first tune charlie sent me. Since then all the pcms I put in, they die on the first crank and then run on the next crank.

Security relearn is different from a crank relearn....
