Default Swapping segments?

I have a custom tune for my 01 6.0 that is 2wd with an 80e.
I want to use that segment for my base of the Denali tune that is also an 01 6.0 but and with a 65e. I have efilive and can't seem to important the entire segment

You have to use tunes with the same OS# to do segment swaps.

The you load the tune you want the new segment in and the source segment in the compare file and then you can do the seg swap to the base tune.

Yea the Denali has a different OS then the 2500. No way to do a swap if the OS doesn't match. They are both 6.0 LQ4 and "01. I guess if not it will get me more familiar with looking over timing maps and comparing them and see what is changed in a fairly stock set up.

You have to have matching OS's.

You should be able to get a tune from tunefiledepot.com that matches your OS with a 60/65e tranny. Segment swap the engine info in the tune and load it in the truck. That way your OS will match, and you will have the 60/65e tranny.

I have never done this, but this is the way I have always assumed it would work. Can someone correct me if I am wrong?

In this situation you will just have to copy over the modified tables manually.

Every segment is different between the trucks.

I think I will be swapping each table.

Depending on what OS your current tune is you can do the segment swap like what you want BUT its not an easy one step process like a normal segment swap but its still faster than hand copying a bunch of tables over. Post your OS of your current tune and I'll tell you if it can be done or not.
