i cut mine off 2 years ago, still havent tuned for it.ses light staring at me, you`d think id have it tuned by now. I did it for sound, wanted it louder.

 

well a buddy of mine has a 4.8 silvy and he was thinking about taking his off to but had the same questions as I did

 

when i cut them off my SS i took a anti spark fouler and drilled the center out to half inch. then put o2 in that and bolted the anti to the factory bung.. no SES for 900 + miles, only cost 3 bucks too and doesnt act up like o2 foolers

 

You can turn the rear O2 off in the tune. Monitor your AFR and tune for that.

 

well im just gonna take it to speed inc but im planning to put a stall in first

 

the foulers worked for a while for me, now,if i reset it comes back on within 100 miles. plenty of time for an inspection
