Default pro vs cons of tuning out the evap

i keep throwing codes for my e vap. i heard that you can tune it out with efi live. i figured rather then spending the money on evap i would spend it on a credit to tune my truck.

what are the pros and cons of tuning out the evap?

gas milage improve?
what has to be done other then just tuning?

it is my daily driver so i want to make sure my mpg wont be suffering.

well i had issues when i tried to get my inspection... just turning it off caused the test to never complete.... I never could get the readiness test to pass... Other than that my truck drove fine... Maybe someone better at tuning than me knows how to turn that off and still have the readiness test show complete...

basically what i did at first was remove it and waited for the codes to pop up then i turned the codes to not reported.... Then i did a ton of research figuring out the the right combinations of tests to turn off to get the readiness test to pass...

I have a LM7 swap with all of the evap sitting there and not wired or hooked up. I recently passed a california BAR inspection and it passed fine. I ran it so the tests passed and then turned all of the codes to no report and clipped the wires and blocked everything off. Works fine for me.

yep the soleniod was sitting on the shelf in the garage... I capped off the line to the intake and to the gas tank... I may have just not turned off the right combination of tests in the tune...
