your mid 400hp tune shouldn't be any less important than a 1,000+ build. A good streetable tune is needed for 200hp and 800 hp...your tune was probably a cake walk for them...they just need to spend another 5 minutes on their cake walk.

If they give you hell or dodge you about fixing a drivability issue that could cause damage to your engine get another tuner or it’s time to start learning yourself. You’re the only one who cares the most about your own stuff. Lean backfiring like that could break pistons, valves etc. fix it ASAP.

The tuner was getting ready for Holley Vest West in Vegas this weekend with his freshly built 1000hp Chevy SS I don’t think he was personally dodging me. Right now scheduled for June 6th appointment because that’s when I’m moving back down there 2 miles from the shop. But I’ll try and get it done sooner than that. I’m going to buy one coil pack today and move it around and see if that is the issue. I really want to learn how to tune but with kids and my wife already giving me crap of putting so much time into my truck that can only fit 2ish people. I’m riding the edge right now as it is lol.

Where are you located? I have to say the hptuners crowd are some of the nicest and understanding guys I've ever met on a forum. Wouldn't be the worst thing to maybe ask for some help from someone besides your tuner.
