EVAP still fails. Anyone have an idea on which DTCs are relevant to this? I've taken a gander, tried a few with no luck. Surely there is a way to bypass the whole 1/2-3/4 full tank, x-miles, x-cycles, full moon, sacrificial virgin..... sigh...

BUT, you got me through the O2 readiness tests! Thank you VERY much. I also had previously modified the CAT test.

In my state of Delaware we are allowed to fail one emission test. Pretty sure none of my vehicles ever pass EVAP readiness. Are you sure you need it in Virginia?

The only way "around" it is to disable the system so it is no longer a ready/not ready situation. But if you got the 02's to go through and only have evap not ready you can probably pass. A lot of cars are allowed 1 not ready.

And if you do the evap the way I said it'll help, it's not like it's hard. Have the fuel between 1/4-3/4 and let it idle from cold. Do that a couple of days in a row if need be and otherwise just drive it.

Good to know. I'll give that a shot. Its more a point of pride to get evap cleared now

I'll have everyone know I failed spectacularly. While all monitors were good to go, they looked too close at my long tubes and after market cat setup. My emissions inspection was more intimate than a prostate exam. They put my Yukon on a lift to fully inspect! My stock ypipe and cats were toast so a new one is in the mail. Back to stock for a short while.

Ahh well, its the game we play!

That sucks. On the bright side, at least a couple more squirrels won't develop lung disease while your truck is stock.

Yup!

BTW I love your avatar/forum picture. Great pic from a documentary about schizophrenia.
