Emissions records are simply a pre-req for renewing your registration in certain counties in VA. They aren't public records and if you sell your car to a new owner or chose to garage in a non emissions county it simply doesn't matter or affect value at all.

Got a replacement drivers manifold and a magnaflow ypipe.

The bends are actually pretty good. I also like the 2 piece design. There is so much cheap eBay **** out there. I figured if I stay stock for a while, might as well have a decent part.

$690 shipped. Ahhh well... Peace of mind.

Definitely a quality looking piece. Last time i had a cat replaced i was charged ~300 and it didn’t even last two years, so that price isn’t bad for what you got.

Thanks for the nice words! Lasting is my hope. Even though I'll swap in my long tubes again it can't hurt to have a quality piece to fall back on.

Speaking of long tubes, the emissions tech was only worried there was no sensor after my aftermarket cat. I think I'll weld a bung in and plug in a sensor for looks next time.

I'll take my crappy handiwork, a pro welder I am not ..

Any state that does emissions testing keeps a record. If you know where to look, you can find the history.

Of course in a county that does not have emissions it won't matter. They don't have to deal with it.

At this point though, What's it really matter on a vehicle that's past 10 years any way.

Vibrant sells some O2 bungs that are a bit easier to fit up. They aren't expensive either.

Weird. It says online that it is a saddle but it looks like it has big gaps on it.

I am using these. I just cut a bit off in the center of it to get the 3" contour.

In my pic its only resting on the pipe and not welded in. There is a lip on the underside that raises it up.

The lip is so when you drill a hole it sits down inside the pipe.
