Ok Guys Got Hpt
#101
Yall gave me the itch to do some tuning earlier so I ran out and did some logging/modding. Fixed a few bugs that I needed to fix and overall I'm still addicted. Do yall get some funky looks when people see the laptop in the car? Some people look at me like I'm gonna blow up my truck next to em haha.

select the whole table and un the upper right hand portion of the timing table you'll see a few icons (plus, minus, multiply, etc.) next to a text box. Just select the whole table and type in a value (ie, 1.10 for a 10% increase) and click the multiply button.
Also, for correcting spark for KR just log and use the max value setting in the log table to show the maximum pulled timing. Copy the whole table, go into vcm editor and select the whole table in spark advance, right click and goto paste special and select subtract. It'll subtract the timing from the corect cells so you won't have to do it cell by cell.
glad to hear you're getting the hang of everything. it just takes confidence I think.
to the guy who asked about the warranty deal earlier in the thread: I've been told that if you flash the pcm with the stock tune they can't tell whether it's been modified before or not. I don't think the pcm keeps a log of read/write. I've talked with my uncle (gm fleet mgr in Cleveland, TX) about things that void warranty and he said that mostly a tune won't void the warranty unless obviously someone was trying to run rediculous timing and it screwed something up or whatever. He said that once you start modding the engine/trans internally then you're on grounds to void it. So many dealerships have different views, but he said for the most part that's what they look at.
anyways, back to studying for finals in the morning. i have 3 damn finals in a row tomorrow
