Default New Computer ?

i didnt know how to exactly serach for this so i thought id make a new thread. the dealer by me likes to look closely at everything on the computer when the motor goes or something happens big . im worried about my warrenty so i was like alright i get a new computer for it and tune that one and incase switch them over . well my buddy threw this one at me .

what happens when they compare my computers milege to the one on my odometer?

anyone ever think about this or have a problem like this .

I think mileage is stored within the instrument cluster. Not the PCM.

i heards its stored in both on our trucks to keep off with fraud . like lower ur milege

Nope, the mileage is only stored in the speedo cluster. PCM remembers nothing, it just send signal to the cluster.

the pcm might not remember but i think the bcm does. Some cars the pcm does actually remember though, i read it with autotap off of my cousin's Intrigue.

so im safe doing this right . god forbid anything goes bad with my motor theyll be sratchin there head wondering why the computer didnt throw anything lol

Like I said before, nothing remembers mileage, but the speedo cluster. Go ahead and get your self a tuned PCM, it will be fine and shouldn't void any warranty's. The dealer will never know if you put you stock PCM back in when you go in for service
