Need help with 2007 computer and efilive COS
I know efilive does not have a cos for a 2007 computer, mines from a van but I was told I could do it if I have a 2003 or 04 TAC module then just flash the ecu from there and use the 2004 cos. Has anyone tried this before. The 06 and 07 TAC modules are different from the 2005 and back as far as I can tell. I didnt know if the 2007 ecu would work with a 2004 COS from efi live. This is a engine swap also so dont need communication with anything but the tac and throttle body.

I do not think the 07 pcm will work with the 04 tune but I am not 100% never tried flashing one backwards that far. You can flash a 04 tune into the 07 pcm I just dont know if everything will work correctly. I do know for sure though that the TAC module, throttle body, gas pedal, and tune all have to match or it will not work correctly. I would look up a VIN for a 04 and 07 and see if the pedal, TAC module and TB are the same and go from there.

Basicly whats stated above.
You have to use the TAC module, Pedal, and TB from the same year range you are attempting to flash. 03-05 or 06-07 classic
Not sure if any one has flashed in reverse like that. The only way to know would be to try it. My under standing is that the ECU didn't change it was the OS software that changed but the supporting hardware needs to match.
