Default New but used ECU?

I am not happy with my tune and my ECU is locked. I have an 03 with Electronic Throttlebody. My question is are all ECUs 03+ compatible with mine? I know the 6L TBs are cable driven so that's out of the question. I'm looking to buy an ECU on E-Bay.

for the most part, yes. but, you cant just get one and expect it to work. make sure the computer you get is almost exactly like yours. gears, electric fans, motor size, 2wd, 4wd, auto or stick, E-85 all are something you need to consider. if you plan on tuning it yourself then you can use just about any 03-06 as long as you know what tables to change. are you going back to stock?

Just ask your tuner to unlock it.

Had some issues with my tuner that didn't end friendly so I'm just wanting to buy another one and tune with somebody else.

Would have been a good idea to have him turn it back to stock before telling him to eff off. lol.

Try to get one as close to yours as possible. Dealer can run your vin and reflash it for you.

talk to your new tuner and ask him what he prefers you to get. that way, he knows what needs to be done and there wont be any suprises later down the road.
