Just had to replace trans in 2003 1500 silverado, ran fine until truck was killed and codes were cleared and then truck will not stay running. It will start and die as soon as you release the key. I may not be in the correct Forum, if so please feel free to move. Thanks in advance for your help.

My appologies for the bumb reply. I know what the VATS is, but the reprogramming software that the guy has is screwed up right now. He is working on gettin it fixed. I got the truck to start and run about 4 or 5 times and then it went back to the same thing. Neither one of us or anyone else I have spoken to seem to have ever heard of a vehicle doing this. it put out 2 codes one P0200 and P0363 I believe, the first is incorrect voltage in injector circuit and the second was incorrect security code. Is there any way besides with the software to disable the VATS?

No its not the fuel pump everything is working. it pressures up just fine. Its like it looses fire as soon as the key is released???
It seems to be the VATS, but I haven't a clue as to how to disable it. The software we have is screwed up and I can't find anyone close that has it.

Thanks, I guess I'm just gonna have to wait until he gets his software problem fixed or someone else comes along. I'm not sure thats the problem though. Like I said I got it started and it ran about 4 or 5 times and then went to start again and the same thing?
I just for the life of me figure out what it is???

give this a try it worked in my camaro, under your steering column there should be a orange insulator with two wires inside of it(white and purple iirc) follow it along and there should be a plastic connection, unplug it and start her up.
why the car can start when you unplug the vats im not sure, but thats how i fixed mine
