I would like to know everyones opinion on which would work best with my setup. The setup is as follows:
d1sc procharger with 3.1in pulley(if it makes to much boost a 3.4 will go on there)
370ci
prc stage 3 ls6 heads
port matched victor jr. intake with ls2 90mm tb
sorry im not sure how much boost it will make but maybe some of the other procharger guys can chime in and give me some idea.
The truck is my daily driver also but gas mileage doesnt really matter

This is your sig "Project X"? I moved your thread to here, in the tuning section.
If you aren't blowing the thresholds of the MAF (and it appears you plan to pulley up if you get to much boost), I'd stay with the MAF. No reason to complicate things.

i should have put that i would be upgrading to a lingenfelter 100mm maf, and the reason i said i would pulley up is if i made too much power for my fuel system to keep up(i'll be running a 255 pump with a magnavolt) until i can afford to upgrade.
I knew i was going to leave something out

The lingenfelter is only as good as the pcm's limits. (512g/sec I do believe on the '06) I just think alot of people pull the trigger on 2bar before they really need to. I get the love/hate for the MAF, but if you are within it's limits, fug it. UNLESS you are tuning yourself and love to do it. The go 2bar, it's fun.

well i talked to my tuner and he said go with speed density also. where and how does the sensor go because with a maf i would have just put a silicone coupler on each side. I'm sorry for the dumb question, but i've never seen pics of the piping or air intake of a vehicle thats been sd tuned. In case you were wondering i'm not going to try and undertake this myself. Nelson will be sd tuning it when it is finished, i just didnt get to talk to him directly when i called because he was with a customer.
Thanks,
J

What is your target boost level? 5.3L?
You replace your current MAP sensor with a new 2 bar MAP sensor. The MAF will become and ornament besides the critical IAT sensor that is housed in there.

I like the 2 bar Speed Density cause i know how to do it... lol
It was easier for me to grasp than tuning with the MAF.. And im glad i got rid of the MAF cause some people at the track never can figure out where it is...

jeeesh guys LMAO it's not that hard to tune a MAF if you aren't blowing passed it's limits LMAO. After 4K rpm it's all MAF how hard can it be? OH yeah, forgot, tuning part throttle. FABOpartthrottletuning, fine..go 2bar.
