Well, this morning I ordered from RockAuto upper and lower ball joints, upper and lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, and both front brake lines. I saw one of them was starting to fray. All GM Genuine AC Delco parts. Wish me luck.

And now my oil pressure gauge maxes out with key on, before I start the engine. Doh! 🤦‍♂️

At least that is an extremely easy swap. I just did it a couple months ago.

The oil pressure sender? I have an extra 3 pin sender from my L59 engine swap into my 99. I couldn't figure out if it was doable or not. I know it's tight. I've got that Lisle sender socket.

The 99 takes the tall one. It is doable with a universal socket. I also have the Lisle sender socket.

Unless the L59 was an 02 it has a different sending unit.

I think it looks like the one on the first photo I posted on this thread. Murphy's Law said I should of changed it while I was there. LOL.

I broke mine off somehow when I pulled my 5.3 out. Actually I think it was already broken off and someone had done some jerry rigging to keep the harness on it.

I got all of the parts in the mail from Rock Auto. Including both brake hose. I've was always shy-ed away from brake hydraulics to avoid doing brake bleeding. Maybe I'll leave that till the end. Kinda scared of doing brakes...I guess there's always a first time. 🤞

Hopefully I can at least knock out the bushings and ball joints this weekend.

I got everything torn apart. I thought it was going to more difficult. 🤔

Well, probably shouldn't say that. I still have to press out all the ball joints, bushings and put it back together, LOL.

Any tricks? I've got a press, but I'm going to go rent a ball joint removal tool from O'Reilly's.

I like working on a dead lawn, too. It saves time looking for small parts that I drop, because I know there's no sense in looking for them.
