I find it easier to just remove the bed when doing the pump on the ground. It's only 8 bolts and the filler neck and tailight harness and you dont have to take it all the way off just slide it back a bit and support it with a 2x4.

Yeap- sending unit is going south, mine does the same thing, even reads empty right after a fillup. I'm gonna do both the pump and sending unit while I'm down there. right now the water pump just went south at 95k, gonna do that and stick in my LS-1 fans while there..................

Where can you buy just the sending unit for our trucks? How much do they run?

Ebay.... There cheap... Like 20-30 dollars
