quick question for any one that might know.
08 silverado single cab w/t ls did not come with alarm but would like to
put one in I"m not looking for a aftermarket fancy I would like to ad a oem original it seems that gm built alot of these trucks to except all additional options pretty easily like the dic addition.
I'm hoping the same for the keyless entry and start what parts would be required if it can be done easier than a aftermarket.

 

as far as that truck idk if its possible and if it is with would be a dealer option for something factory. because the alarm goes through the bcm. so it may be possible for you to get a new bcm or yours reflashed to add that option. and the dealer could program it into the key fob to make it all work. but your talking a few hundred dollars at that point it would be cheaper to go aftermarket honestly.

 

thats what I was thinking cause I know I can get a viper alarm for around 200-300
