Default LC-1 error

Well I am on my second one the first one was doa, so I sent it back and got a new one. So I went to hook it up Friday ran the wires hooked it all up and what do I get a error code 2. So I changed grounds and the same thing, I am still getting it even with it connected to the battery or the block. The sensor works I hooked it up by itself and it gets hot. Any one have a guess at what it could be? I am about to give up and see if I can just get a refund.

Are you runninig an xd-16 gauge? It is normal for the gauge to show E2 for about a second when you first start it up. If you have the error code constantly then I don't know. I would check the innovate forum or give them a call. Their tech support was very cool to me.

Do you have BOTH grounds hooked up? You have a signal ground and a chasis ground on the LC-1 and they need to be kept seperate. I had a grounding issue with mine when I first hooked it up, didnt realize it because the instructions were a little fuzzy.

I had both hooked up, one to the battery(white) and the other to the block(blue). The middle pins on the lc1(for heater ground and power) read 14.5 volt, but when you hook up the sensor and read the voltage it drops to .225v. I hooked the sensor up with two wires and it is good. I am just not getting power to the sensor.

Welp just got off the phone with innovate and the tech guy said make sure it has 11.5v min and the plug is in all the way, I told him it was at 14.5v and I plugged it in many times, and you guessed it he told me it needs to be sent back. Well I told him this was my second one this month cause the first one was doa and he just acted like that never happens, but he was nice about the hole thing.
So anyone wanna buy a reparable LC-1 Cheap?
