Fabbed up an LC-1 box
#1
i guess i could have used the lc-1 as it came with all the wires hanging everywhere, but it looked like it would be a pain in the ***. so i went by the local radio shack and grabbed one of those little project boxes used for electronic projects and fabbed up a controller box for the calibration pushbutton and the led indicator. to power the unit i used a cigarette lighter power supply, which also has a built in on-off rocker switch with an led. keeps things a little more organized looking.

i noticed you've got the TB stall...how do you like it? does it stall up pretty good? waitin to install mine.

I did the same thing with mine. I bought the same lighter plug from Radio Shack but I went a little cheaper and drilled a couple holes in the side of the box it cam in and put the calibration button and LED through the box. I just keep all the excess wires rolled up in the box with another slot for the wires to poke out of. I then run the wire out the door and just close the door up on it. Keeps it portable between multiple cars like I have.
The LC-1 is the cheapest way to have a wideband if you have a laptop. It is made by Innovate.

Love it. With the LS1, it stalls up to about 2800. Really makes a huge difference on the launch when you punch it.
I'm sure there are a lot better converters out there but you can't beat it for the price.

Its not fun to install all the ****. Shaking hands and small wires dont go together. I mounted the switch and LED in behind the panel that hides the 12 volt outlets. I did have to make an output extension to use my XD1 gauge in my overhead console.
